How to use the Spider Ten Frames
Print the spider mats and cut in half along the center line. Each printed page has two mats. There are two different versions each with counting mats for numbers 1-10: one set with flies already in the boxes and one set with blank boxes.
For durability and reuse, you may wish to laminate or use with write and wipe sleeves.
Each card has a spider web number on it. Demonstrate how to trace the number with your finger.
For the number 1, color in or add one fly inside the ten frame. Say, “This spider ate one fly.” Color the card.
Continue on to the number two, tracing the number and counting two flies inside the ten frame. “This spider ate two flies.”
Repeat with numbers 3-10.
