What Are You Afraid Of? Graphing Printable
Here is a fun, hands-on Halloween math activity where kids will gather, record, compare, and analyze data to find out what the biggest fear is from a list of six phobias.
Scary Things Bar Graph and Tally Sheets
Kids can survey family, friends, or classmates to find out which of the following is their biggest phobia and scares them the most. Then they will tally the answers with the printable voting sheet.
Once they have finished surveying and collecting answers, they will compare and analyze data using the Scary Things bar graph worksheet. While analyzing, they will explore the concepts of more than, less than, and same. Color the boxes that correspond with each answer to create the bar graph.
The following phobias are included in the activity:
Acrophobia – fear of heights
Claustrophobia – fear of confined spaces
Astraphobia – fear of thunder & lightning
Ophidiophobia – fear of snakes
Nyctophobia – fear of the dark
Entomophobia – fear of insects
