The kids and I had a blast celebrating St Patrick’s Day! I made them each a Shamrock Shake after their gold coin hunt. My son made a fun leprechaun mask craft in his preschool class. It was perfect for photos!
Shamrock Shake Idea
Our Shamrock Shakes were so yummy! Just blend mint chocolate chip ice cream with a little milk, easy! We topped ours with Reddi Wip and Shimmer Silver Cupcake Gems (found in the baking section of our local grocery store). My allergies have been horrible lately so by the time I checked out Dollar Tree and Wal-Mart for St Patrick’s Day themed party supplies, everything was already gone. I happened to have clear cups on hand so I made them festive by drawing a shamrock on each of them.

Gold Coin Hunt
I knew my kids would be so excited to go on a Gold Coin Hunt. The plastic gold coins (Amazon Referral Link)have 100 coins in each bag. The ones we used were actually from a Super Mario birthday party favor where I ordered these exact same ones for a friend to use.
I hid the coins around outside our home since it was a gorgeous day outside. Little Sister used her purse for collecting her coins (so cute!) and Big Brother used a green pail. I am so proud of him for making sure his sister got coins without me even having to tell him. He kept pointing them out to her or if there were 2 in the same area, he would leave 1 for her – made me smile!
Afterwards, we headed indoors for this neat St Patrick’s Day Bathtime Activity where the kids had to search for the gold coins again. They had so much fun doing this!
Paper Plate Leprechaun Mask Craft for Preschoolers
My little guy made this Leprechaun Mask in his preschool class. She always has the kids ‘model’ their little masks/hats that they make – too cute! The Leprechaun Mask is made from a desert-sized paper plate and craft stick. The preschoolers colored a green hat and cut orange hair and a beard from orange construction paper.
