Simple Mummy Puppet Craft for Kids
Halloween is one of my favorite holidays for crafting. With so many fun spooky characters like witches, ghosts, bats and more, there is an endless amount of cute crafts you can make with your children for the holiday. Here is a simple way to create a mummy puppet craft for kids that not only requires only a few materials that you probably already have on hand, but is also easy enough for even toddlers to enjoy making. After you finish making your new mummy craft, make sure to have fun putting on a puppet show for the entire family to enjoy.

How to make a Simple Mummy Puppet Craft
Supplies you will need:
- standard #10 envelope
- white tissue paper
- googly eyes
- scissors
- glue
Directions:
1.Start by sealing your envelope shut and cutting it in half. Each envelope makes two mummy puppets. The top of your mummy is the closed section of the envelope and the open end of the envelope is the bottom end of the envelope.
2. Cut your white tissue paper into thin strips and glue the strips in layers over your envelope half. It’s ok if the tissue paper runs off the sides of the envelope because when you are finished adding your tissue paper, use your scissors to cut any excess off the sides.
3. Finish your mummy puppet by gluing on two googly eyes. Once the glue has dried you can put your hand inside the envelope and have fun with your new mummy puppet craft.
You could also couple this simple mummy craft with a fun Halloween children’s book like Where’s My Mummy by Carolyn Crimi. What other fun Halloween characters can you create with an envelope?
