Handmade Big Brother and Little Sister Shirts
While I was pregnant with my daughter, I always searched the stores for a big brother shirt for my son. I never found one that I liked in his size and thought it would be fun to design and make them matching handmade Big Brother and Little Sister shirts. My son likes dinosaurs, so I chose that as the theme.
Supplies needed:
shirts or onesies
freezer paper
Exacto knife
cutting board
fabric paint
fabric pen
printed design
How to make the handmade big brother and little sister shirts:
Please visit I Am Momma Hear Me Roar for a great freezer paper stencil video tutorial.
First, place your freezer paper over your t-shirt design and trace it. After it is traced, cut the design out using your Exacto knife. Now you have a stencil! Place it on the shirt with the shiny side down and iron it into place.
Paint as many coats as needed and when dry, peel the freezer paper off. Then, add any details and outline the dinosaur with a fabric pen.
