Spanglish Frog Book and Craft
We are currently reading this fun Spanglish book by the author Pat Mora. It’s called Wiggling Pockets Los bolsillos saltarines. (affiliate link, read more here) We love Spanglish books and think it’s fun to have my hubby read the Spanish parts and me read the English parts (helps me learn Spanish too!) Anyway, we love it so much that I have started a Spanglish Books for Kids section! Back to the book, it’s a cute story about a little boy who brings frogs home and his mommy asks why his pockets are wiggling. Out jumps frogs one by one and it has fun illustrations of the family’s expressions- very easy for little ones to relate to!
To go along with the book’s theme (and our color green projects), we made this super cute Handprint Frog. You can find instructions on our Handprint and Footprint Art blog.
