Adorable Shredded Paper CD Birds
What comes to mind when you think of Spring? Flowers, bugs…..and birds! The creative preschool team did a flower theme and bug theme last year, this year we are doing a bird theme….so fun! Little Sister made shredded paper cd birds. They turned out super cute!

Shredded Paper CD Birds
Supplies Needed:
- old cds
/dvds
- shredded paper
/Easter grass
- glue
- scissors
- googly eyes
- orange craft foam
- feathers
- glitter – optional
- clothespins
Instructions:
Start by adding glue to the cd or dvd. We spread ours around with a paintbrush. Then Little Sister took a bunch and smashed it down on top of the glue. She repeated the same process with another blank cd. One used plastic Easter grass while the other used colorful shredded paper. The paper definitely was easier to manage! She also shook glitter over them to make them sparkle. Once dry, I gave them a little trim around the edges.
Glue on googly eyes and feathers. Cut a small triangle from the craft foam. Glue in place. Add 2 clothespins to the bottom if you’d like to make a standing bird. I love this standing cd peacock that incorporates handprints.
