Outdoor Tracing Activity – Exploring Letters, Numbers, and Shapes
My 3 year old is so into learning to trace lately. We usually practice on his Toulouse Lap-Trec. This time, he wanted me to write the alphabet outside.
I wrote each letter and shape with pink chalk and he traced back over each with white chalk. You could also do numbers, curvy lines and so on.

My group of kids loves to draw outside with chalk but I hadn’t thought of having them trace with chalk. It's a great idea.

Amanda, tracing is a great way for kids to learn and remember as well. If you have them trace the alphabets again and again, they will start writing them on their own. We celebrated Earth’ Day this week, did a craft and read a couple of books on Earth’s Day
