Sparkly Ballet Shoes Craft for Kids – Easy!
Looking for a cute craft to make with your little ballerina? How about this sparkly ballet shoes craft?! It’s easy for even preschoolers to make – my 4 year old loved it! She loves glitter and pink on everything so it was no surprise…tee, hee!
Little Sister took a ballet and tap class where she gives the kids homework every week. It goes inside a dance journal that each child has (made from a binder). This particular week, she gave the girls a green sheet of paper and told them to make pointe shoes however they’d like. It could be made from fabric even! I found did a quick search for pointe shoes coloring pages and when we found one we liked, we printed it on the green sheet.

Supplies needed:
- free ballet shoes coloring page
- glue
- paintbrush
- glitter
- 2 jewel gems
- markers
- optional – stickers
Instructions:
First, ask the child to paint inside the the shoes with glue. She did one shoe at a time so the paint didn’t dry before adding the glitter. Next, shake glitter over the glue. My daughter enjoys this part the most! I like the look of Martha Stewart glitter which is what we used for our craft, but regular kids glitter would of course work too.
Next, color the ribbons with markers. I outlined everything again with a black marker since some of the original lines where covered in glitter.
She finished by spelling the word ‘Ballet’ with foam stickers as well as adding a couple heart stickers.
