Fun Dinosaur Small World Play Activity
Rawr! If your little ones like dinosaurs than they might enjoy these fun activities, like the Dinosaur small world play activity we created.
The weather was absolutely gorgeous outside so I brought out the water table and made a small dinosaur world. You can find a bag of craft rocks at many different stores, a lot of times near the clear vases/home decor or craft sections. They are inexpensive and can be used so many ways. Check out this fun number counting activity we did when my son was younger.
Dinosaur Small World Play Activity
I am not sure where the big dinosaurs are from, but the little ones are from the dollar store. There’s even one that hatched from an egg and grew bigger. It shrinks back down in size and grows again when wet. I placed a small container filled with water for the dinosaurs to drink and play in. The pretend bridge is created from one of the kids toys, but you could use a stick or anything else that’s long enough.
Little Sister had fun observing through the magnifying glass and making the dinos cross the bridge. Big Brother made a game of Wipeout (tv show he loves). They both especially loved having the dinosaurs slide down the ramp sitting in the egg-shell.
Recent books we have read are Dinosaur vs. the Potty and Dinosaur vs. Bedtime
. Both are cute books that parents and kids can totally relate to. They are a few more books in this series that we plan to read as well.
