Yummy Apple Smoothie Recipe for Kids
We love smoothies! This past week I asked my daughter what kind of smoothie we should make and she suggested apple. I have never made a smoothie using apples before so did a quick search and found a yummy-sounding apple smoothie recipe via Smoothie Ninja (Apple Delight). My little cutie practically inhaled it and then asked for more, so I’m guessing that she didn’t like it – kidding, she loved it!
Apple Smoothie Recipe Ingredients:
- 1 apple cut into pieces
- apple juice
- yogurt – we used vanilla
- banana – sliced
*I didn’t measure anything so if you prefer to have exact measurements, follow the ingredient instructions on Smoothie Ninja. They also add cinnamon to it which my daughter wasn’t crazy about having in hers.
Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend. We use the smoothie setting on ours. Our smoothie glass is from the dollar store and the polka dot paper straws are available in many different stores.
Kids in the Kitchen
Preschoolers and older might enjoy making their own smoothie! Pre-cut the apple and banana beforehand. Bananas are even simple enough for a preschooler to try cutting by themselves. Place cut pieces in a shallow dish. Place predetermined amount of apple juice and yogurt in a cup. Have them dump all the ingredients into the blender. My daughter’s favorite part is pushing the button!
