Toddler Laminated Shapes Project

This is an easy craft for toddlers to do ~ even a 1 year old with the help of someone older.

First, tape clear contact paper to a wall or door. Do this by rolling masking tape so it sticks to the underside of the contact paper (the side without the paper) and to the wall/door. Then take the paper off.

For the next part, I used paper scraps I had leftover from scrapbooking and my son’s art projects. Otherwise you could cut little pieces of any kind of paper or tear out patterns from a magazine.

I let my son stick the pieces on the contact paper. It’s okay if your child overlaps the pieces or if they hang over the edge. Eventually, he got most of it covered and then I helped him cover the spaces that he missed. Next, place contact paper over the top.

I then cut it into various smaller shapes that he can learn from. You could also cut just one big shape such as a fish.
