I did a Mommy & Me Movie Night with my toddler the other night and we watched Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. Last year he didn’t pay much attention to it, but this year he loves it. He talks about the red nose all the time!
I made him a Handprint Reindeer Applique Shirt for him to wear (and to have as a keepsake). You can read the instructions on my other blog.
Here he is wearing his shirt along with the Reindeer Antler Headband we got last year. You could also make your own headband….. check out this one from the Kaboose website.
Earlier in the day, we made this Paper Plate Rudolf Mask(see instructions here).
When the movie started, he ran around excitedly saying “red nose, red nose!” while collecting all his red balls & giant red balloon (aww…. the imagination of a toddler, so cute!). The Felt Antler Headband is from Dollar Tree (I bought it last year, so I am not sure if they still have them).
For a movie-themed snack, I made him a Rudolf-inspired Graham Cracker Treat. I used M&M’s, mini candy canes, and white frosting (the kind that comes in the squeezable package with a tip).
Before bedtime, we read an Online Reindeer Story I found on the Northpole website.
