How to make the Paper Apple MOM Card with Cute Saying
To begin the Mother’s Day apple card craft, print the “MOM” page on heavy cardstock and the pages with the circles on regular printer paper.
Now, you will need to cut out the cute apple pun greeting making sure to keep the two circles connected. Next, glue the cutout to either red construction paper if you want to make a red apple, or light green if you want to make a green apple.
Finish by trimming around the circles while leaving a small border around them and then fold it in half. The backside of the ‘Happy Mother’s Day! with become the apple’s face.
Now it’s time to make the green (or red) paper apple character! First, cut out a leaf shape from dark green construction paper. Then use the brown construction paper to cut a small rectangle to represent a stem. Glue both pieces to the backside of the apple circle.
Next, it’s time to get creative with the apple’s face. You can use a marker to draw on the eyes and smile or glue on googly eyes.
After you finish making the paper apple character, crease the “MOM” template so the fold is across the top of the letters. Cut all around the template, but leave the fold intact. Now the cute Mother’s Day card will stand so it can be displayed!
If you wanted to, you could use the card as is or keep reading to see how to make the apple.
Before moving on to the next step, let the kids color in the letter M’s using markers, colored pencils, paint, sequins or anything else for embellishing.
To finish the Mother’s Day craft, glue the apple in the center of the card in place of the letter ‘O’. The printable MOM card craft is now complete!
