Kids Carved and Painted Halloween Pumpkins
We have been out of state visiting family so my kids got a chance to paint 2 pumpkins each this year – one at home and one at their Uncle’s home where we stayed while visiting. My brother decided to carve his pumpkin which was a new experience for them since we have always just painted ours.
The top left was painted by my toddler. She chose the colors and then decorated it with glitter, sequins, buttons, and gems. I helped her make a face using pom poms and finished by gluing on flowers (scrapbook section).
My son painted the top right with paint, glitter, buttons, pom poms, and googly eyes.
The bottom left is the one that I painted using glitter paints and foam star stickers. The word “BOO” is written with glue which I then covered with silver glitter.
The glitter, foam star stickers, googly eyes, and pom poms were sent to us from CraftProjectIdeas.com – they have tons of crafty products as well as kids craft ideas.
Above are the pumpkins the kids painted at my brother’s house. I love that my son painted a face on his. He told me that he wanted to make a jack-o-lantern …… so cute! He also couldn’t resist making handprints. My kids are always painting their hands…. Lol!
My brother placed a strobe light inside his carved pumpkin. It was a HUGE hit with my kids!!! He told them it was a vampire pumpkin.
The inside of the eyes are yellow pom poms.
My daughter painted with a paintbrush and made tons of handprints after seeing Big Brother painting his hands blue. She glued on different colored googly eyes and pom poms.
