Cardboard Tube Christmas Tree Craft for Kids
I love this cardboard tube Christmas tree craft my son made in preschool. It’s simple to make and can be decorated in many different ways. You could even add a foam star sticker on the top!
This is great for preschoolers since it helps them practice their fine motor skills. For those who can cut already, it’s great for practicing using a scissors.
Supplies Needed:
- Paint
- Paintbrush
- Cardboard tube such as an empty paper towel or toilet paper roll
- Scissors
- Glue
- Construction paper
- Gems, sequins, buttons, stickers, etc. that can be used for ornaments
How to make the Cardboard Tube Christmas Tree Craft
Paint stripes on a sheet of green construction paper to create the garland. You could use a paintbrush, marble painting, paint it with a string, or any other creative way you can think of.
Paint the cardboard tube.
When the paper is dry, cut a simple tree shape from it. It should be about the same height as the cardboard tube. Glue on to one of the cardboard tube’s sides.
Decorate your Christmas tree any way that you’d like. I’m not sure what the teacher used for the ornamnets but there are so many different things you could use such as sequins, buttons, pom poms, gems, and so on.
