Jingle Bells Themed Crafts and Activities
Our 11th Christmas Theme is Jingle Bells. I knew this would be a big hit with my son since he has been ringing the bell ornaments on our Christmas Tree since the 1st day it was decorated!
This Jingle Bell Bracelet is super simple to make ~ even my almost 26 month old was able to help. Take a pipe cleaner and have your child place the beads on it (his is in no particular order, but this makes a great patterning activity for older children). I wanted him to be able to do as he wished, but occasionally I asked him to put a “green” (any color) bead on to help practice his colors. I placed bells on after every 4 beads and closed the bracelet by pushing the unused part of the pipe cleaner through the beads/bells until it was no longer showing.
I read him this Jingle Bells Book while he shook his jingle bell bracelet. The book is just the song… you could also sing it together!
His favorite thing was his Jingle Bell Shoes! I cut off 2 small pieces of pipe cleaner and strung 2 bells on each. Then, I tied it to the little loop onto the back of his shoe. I played different Christmas Cds in the car every time we went somewhere and he thought it was so fun to shake his feet along to the music!
I added gold glitter to yellow paint and he happily fingerpainted this Bell Coloring page I printed from the DLTK’s holiday section.
Such cute ideas! 🙂
