Paint the wood slice with white or a color of choice. Pastel colors are a great option. Allow the paint to dry completely before moving on to the next step. Add another coat of paint if needed.
Make ears from felt including the smaller, pink inner ear. Glue the pink piece on top of the other piece.
Fold the ear at the center and add a dab of glue towards the bottom. Pinch to shape the ear.
Cut two identical unicorn horn shapes from the gold glitter foam. Glue pieces together back to back.
Use hot glue to attach the horn and ears on top of the wood slice.
Add sequin flowers or other flower embellishments and leaves to the top of the wood slice unicorn.
Use a black paint pen or permanent marker to add eyes with lashes to the unicorn. You can use pink paint pens to add rosy cheeks if you’d like.
Turn the ornament over and hot glue twine or ribbon to the back for hanging.
Now the unicorn ornaments are ready to be the star of the tree!
For another cute idea, my absolute favorite unicorn craft we made in the past is this sparkly footprint unicorn – made when my now 10 year old son was just a toddler!
