Snow Much Fun with Glitter Paint
We headed up to the mountains to spend quality family time together playing in the snow and enjoying our beautiful surroundings. Snow is wonderful when you don’t have to shovel it (wink)! I feel blessed that it is just a 45 minute drive away and can just enjoy the beauty of it and no longer have to live in it. It also makes it extra special for the kids since they don’t see it every day.
The last time we went, I packed a fun activity for the kids to do after sledding – Glitter-y Spray Paint! We have a spray bottle that is only used for crafts, so I got it out and put a generous blob of purple glitter paint in it. Then I filled it with water. If you don’t have glitter paints, you could just use plain paint or add loose glitter. I tested the color by spraying it on to a paper towel. If it is not dark enough, keep adding more paint until it is a shade that you like.
Little Sister thought spray painting the snow was the funniest thing. She kept pretending to spray Papa and giggled non-stop….. I absolutely adore her chubby cheek smile!
Big Brother got creative and decided to spray paint snowballs – they looked so pretty!
Next time I plan to take watered down paints and paintbrushes so they can create little snow masterpieces.
Great fun getting the paint outdoors! Brilliant! Thanks for sharing on Kids Get Crafty over on RedTedArt.com Maggy
