Fun Pre Filled Easter Eggs That Are Candy Free
Easter is on it’s way! I’ve found the best candy alternative Easter eggs that are sure to be a hit with kids of all ages!
Every year, I go all out and buy my kids beautiful pastel colored clothing, plush bunnies and chicks and of course, huge Easter baskets filled with candy galore! This year, I decided that I wanted to find some non candy Easter basket ideas. Teeth and overall health are always important to our family and I’ve noticed that I bend the rules for every holiday. My kids receive so much candy during other holidays and events, that I think it would be fun to have a candy free egg hunt and stuff their baskets with pre filled Easter eggs that don’t have candy.

Toy Filled Easter Eggs
You will be absolutely amazed at the toys that can fit in an Easter egg! These days unicorns and dinosaurs are all the rage. I love giving my kids themed baskets, some years it’s baseball and emojis or trains and princesses. This year, the magical unicorns and prehistoric dinosaurs are the theme of choice.
Dinosaur Eggs
Have you ever tried the oatmeal that has dinosaur eggs that “hatch” when the hot water is added? I’ve found pre filled Easter eggs that do the same thing! Simply put in water and in a few hours, you’ll have colorful varieties of dinosaurs!

For younger children, I really like giving non-candy alternatives for Easter eggs. I’ve found that plush animals or toys are the best because they won’t be ruined when they inevitably wind up in their mouths. They also make for the most adorable photo opportunities!
My favorite find in this bunch, are the wind up toy chicks and bunnies. They hop around and are so fluffy and cute. Who can resist baby animals?

More Candy Free Easter Egg Ideas
If the kids in your life are more into activities than toys, these eggs will be great choices.
Slime is so popular with kids these days. They love to make it themselves with DIY slime recipes, but Easter Sunday may not be the best day to do that. Featured below is a cool-looking galaxy slime in clear plastic Easter eggs. The slime isn’t sticky nor does it have an icky smell.
Slime, playdough, bubbles, and music are great for sensory play and even as a stress reducer! I know a few kids that are going to be very happy when they get their hands on these eggs.

Pre filled Easter eggs are going to be my yearly tradition. It’s so easy to purchase eggs that are ready to go! No more stuffing eggs (and my face!) with candy the night before Easter. No more worrying that they’ll get a belly ache. No more candy wrappers strewn about.
Toy filled eggs are going to be a great surprise for our first candy free egg hunt. I’m so excited to see my little ones sitting in the grass, wearing their Sunday best and playing together with their new treasures. Do you have any great non-candy Easter basket ideas or egg stuffers? I want to know all about them!
