Paper Plate Polar Bear Craft
Celebrate International Polar Bear Day with this fluffy paper plate polar bear craft! Every year, Polar Bear Day is on February 27th. We enjoy making themed crafts and polar bears are so cute.
This craft is simple to make! We made ours yesterday on the actual day, but it would be fun for anytime of year.
The kids used small paper plate for theirs, but any size will do. The ears are cut from construction paper and glued to the backside of the plate. They used their early learner’s glue stick to spread glue all over the plate and ears. I like that it goes on purple making it easy to see where it is but dries clear.
Next, they tore cotton balls into smaller places and stuck them to the glue. Little Sister loves gluing things while Big Brother doesn’t like to get his fingers all sticky making everything stick to his fingers instead of the craft.
They made the polar bear face by gluing on googly eyes, a black pom pom nose, and a black pipe cleaner shaped into a mouth. These 3 products were sent to us from CraftProjectIdeas .com, who have tons of craft supplies and fun kits.
