Where can you take the family that’s fun, safe, and can be a bit of a nostalgic experience for you? Chuck E. Cheese’s!
I remember going there as a child with my mom and brother and absolutely loving it. They now have Play Passes which are in lieu of the gold coins you are familiar with (and cleaner!). My kids loved having their own Play Pass to use. The day we went, it was half-price day. I will tell you more about our half-price day experience, but first…….
.…. if you live in Las Vegas, we have an extra announcement just for you!
Head over to our Instagram account and enter the giveaway –a chance to win 1 Guest Pass and 1,000 tickets for a lucky winner to visit a local CEC store! Entering is simple plus you can tag your friends for additional entries.
This past Tuesday, my hubby and I took the kids to the Lake Mead location before Big Brother’s 2nd soccer game. It was the perfect way to fill in the time after school and before his game started. That day also happened to be half price, meaning all the games were half the cost to play – double the fun! I think it’s great that they offer this and hope it stays. Be sure to check your local stores first to make sure they have it (Vegas does!).
One thing that always stands out to me is that they enforce the kid check. In order to go inside Chuck E. Cheese’s, all the family members (or caretaker) have to get a stamp. This stamp lets the employees know that your kid is leaving with a safe person and not a random person. They always have at least one person working the door (more on busy birthday party days) so if your child happens to be a wanderer, they wouldn’t get past the entrance.
We really liked going on the half price tuesdays. It wasn’t crazy busy with birthday parties – which usually take place on the weekends. While we like the quiet days (they even have free wifi), one of my favorite memories is one of my son’s very 1st friend’s first birthday party. It was crowded but oh so much fun! To this day, our boys are now almost 9, we still meet up at Chuck E. Cheese’s to catch up and let our boys play together.
Fun with Extreme Cards – perfect for pretend play! This was my daughter’s absolute favorite. She got cards for Hip Hop Dancer & Super Diva Pop Star Contestant Finalist. Big Brother got a CEC Police Task Force Card & a Rock Concert Pass. We got in on the fun too! Hubby is a Firefighter and I am a Wild Animal Rescuer. There are many more you can get too!
Our guest pass included a pizza, 4 drinks, and 30 tokens. We also ordered the chicken wings and chicken nuggets. The menu had changed since previous times we have eaten there – there were many new items including a Cali Alfredo and BBQ Chicken pizza options.
Don’t forget to head over to Instagram for your chance to WIN a guest pass and 1000 tickets!
