Yo ho, yo ho…. it’s off to the bath we go! September 19th is International Talk Like a Pirate Day and what better way to celebrate than with a Pirate Bubble Bath & book. Big Brother couldn’t wait once he heard that he was going to look for buried treasure in a blue colored bubble bath!
I found various things we already had on hand that was perfect for the ‘Buried Pirate Treasure’ – beaded necklaces, mini compasses, bracelets, rings, gold coins, and even a little skeleton…. he, he!
I decorated around the top of the bathtub with a pirate ship toy the kids had. The cute pirate figurines made it ……… I also placed toy binoculars & an eyepatch, as well as the book Bubble Bath Pirateswhich is what inspired our bath time adventure.
I used Sesame Street Fizzy Tub Color Tablets – 10.4 oz. to color the water blue. The kids love these, especially that they fizz and bright colors swirl out. The container comes with red, yellow, & blue ones. They love when I add 2 different colors and watching it mix into a 3rd color.
The bubble bath I used is Sesame Street Extra Sensitive Bubble Bath 24 oz. It is tear-free& dye-free,hypoallergenic, and for sensitive skin; something I have to worry about with my son since he has issues with eczema. It surprisingly hasn’t affected his skin at all and have gone through the entire bottle already without any problems (yay!)
They had a blast looking for buried treasure and wearing all their precious jewels. I was happy because they did such a great job sharing the toys and taking turns with the binoculars.
I read theBubble Bath Pirates book to them while they were taking their bath. My son loves the book and have read it what seems like a hundred times already to him (it’s such a fun book!).
Of course they couldn’t resist making their own bubble pirate beards!!! Baby Sister looks too darn cute with the eye patch on with her beard…. lol! She always wants to be like Big Brother.
At one point Baby Sister had on every single necklace she found- too cute!
So excited to have found a skeleton!!! He though it was hilarious. He is obsessed with skeletons for some reason right now and insists on being one for Halloween.
My little guy has been asking to take another one a few times already since that day! I loved seeing how much they were enjoying it and how content they were so we will for sure be doing this again in the future.
These egg carton love bugs turned out cute! I cut an empty egg carton into different sizes. My little artist painted them in Valentine’s Day colors. The next day, I poked holes for antennas and…
