Alphabet Sticker Matching Activity using a paper towel tube
I saw this nifty-thrifty alphabet activity over at The Activity Mom’s blog awhile back and instantly knew my little guy would love it! She has so many alphabet activities that I cannot wait to try!
The supplies you need for this activity are as follows: empty paper towel tube, marker, alphabet stickers, construction paper, tape, and glue. To start off with, I glued a piece of construction paper (I sized it beforehand) to the empty paper towel tube and then placed a piece of masking tape (any tape) along the seam. I then wrote on the letters of the alphabet. I gave him each sticker to match to the written letter and he placed it there. He looks like he is concentrating so hard/so serious in the pictures, but he had so much fun shouting out the next letter and of course he sang the Alphabet Song at least 5 times during this activity!
what a great idea – I will be using this idea when I teach my toddler his ABC's! Very nice! 🙂
So glad he liked it! =) I like that you changed it to blue.
That is a cute idea. I know that was a lot of fun.
I've never seen this before but I LOVE it! I can't wait to do this with Cali. Even though she knows her letters she will still love it!
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for this idea! I keep saving these toilet paper tubes but ran out of ideas.
Evelyn
http://2pequenostraviesos.blogspot.com
