Koala Craft ~ Homemade Puzzle

My toddler sounds so cute when he says Koala (“wala”), so I wanted to do a Koala project with him. As usual, first he painted a koala coloring page.

Making the Homemade Cardboard Puzzle is very simple. First, I printed a koala photo I found via Google. Then, I glued it to a piece of cardboard and cut it into 6 simple puzzle shapes. 

We had lots of fun putting the puzzle together. My son would pick up the ear puzzle piece and then grab his ear and then point to my ear. We did this with the eyes, ears, mouth, arm, foot, and tummy as well. I had gotten temporary tattoos awhile back of animals, so I put the koala one on his arm where he could see it. He loved walking around showing off his “wala.”
