Santa Themed Crafts & Activities
Our 3rd Christmas Theme is Santa! This was especially important for me to do with my son because I didn’t want him to be scared of Santa Clause this year like he was last year. I wanted to make Santa seem fun and get him familiar with what he looks like and how to say “Santa.” I have noticed that when he learns how to pronounce certain foods, he happily tries new foods or foods that he used to not like. So, do you think it worked when it came time to sit on Santa’s lap? Of course not! We did some of the Santa Activities before going to see him and he readily walked up to Santa and proudly exclaimed his name. When he was about 3 feet away from him, he stopped and refused to move forward anymore. I convinced him to give Santa a High-Five and then tried to get him to sit on his lap….he instantly started crying! I ended up having to sit on Santa’s lap with him.
Ok, back to the crafts. Our 1st craft was this adorable Handprint Santa. We also made this last year- it was neat to compare the 2 to see how much he has grown. Click HERE to see the instructions on my Handprint and Footprint Art Blog.
