Creative Easter Food Idea and Smoothie Fun!
I love making the kids artsy foods. It always brings such a smile to their face. This past week I made them a creative Easter lunch and smoothie. Simple to make, yet super cute!
How to make the Easter Smoothie:
I thought it would be fun to make a smoothie with layers of colors. There are actually supposed to be 3 layers, but the green layer was too thin so it didn’t stay at the top. Make sure all your layers are thick enough. Either use ice or frozen fruit. Ours are made with frozen fruit because I love the way it looks when blended.

Pink Layer
- Frozen strawberries
- Banana (I used half because my son isn’t a huge fan of strawberries. He is more likely to eat it this way. You could also leave the banana out)
- Vanilla Yogurt
- Apple juice
Yellow Layer
- Banana
- Frozen mango chunks
- Vanilla Yogurt
- Apple juice
Green Layer (not shown)
- Honeydew melon
- Vanilla Yogurt
- Splash of apple juice
- Ice – I should have added ice to make it thicker.
To make it more Easter-y, I slid a bunny peep on to the straw. It leaves behind a sticky trail, so be sure to slide it up from the bottom of the straw.
How to make the Easter Lunch:
- EasyLunchboxes
- Plastic Easter eggs – we also used Bunny-Shaped Fillable Easter Containers
, Carrot Shaped Easter Eggs
, and chick-shaped ones that I bought from Walmart.
- Easter grass
- Bunny Cookie Cutter
or another one that fits the theme
I placed the Easter grass inside the 2 smaller compartments. Inside the regular plastic egg was a bunny peep for dessert. Inside the other eggs, I added Cheetos and baby carrots. I made ham and cheese sandwiches using the bunny cookie cutter. They were so excited to eat their lunch making it worth the extra time spent putting it together.
