Around the World Fun for Kids: Exploring Architecture
Where are the world’s famous buildings and structures located? Big Brother (8) is fascinated with maps, geography and famous landmarks. He has a dry erase map that he uses for learning about our world. It’s neat because he can write on it! It’s actually a wall decal, but we don’t use the sticky part so he can take it off the wall to use on the floor or at the kitchen table. Recently, he used it for exploring architecture around the world, such as Big Ben and the Pyramids of Giza, and where they are located on a map.

Exploring Architecture
I love the mini architecture puzzles shown in the photo. There are different sets and since he loves them so much, we will most likely get more. It comes as flat pieces that you push out and place together to create a 3D model. He placed the finished buildings on the map by locating the country it belonged to.
Tip: super glue the pieces together.
He also marked off where other famous structures were located on the map with the dry erase marker. Another idea would be to use the post it note tabs to write the name of the landmark and then stick it on the correct country.
