Twinkle Twinkle Little Star Craft
Today we did a Twinkle Twinkle Little Star Painting Craft that we also did when my little guy was just one year old! It is a water color resist art project that my son always seems to enjoy.
Start by coloring white stars onto watercolor paper. Then have your child paint with black watercolor over the entire page. I used watered down black tempera paint because I wanted to make sure the paint came out a dark black color.
Watch as the stars magically appear! My little artist proudly exclaimed “Look momma, it’s a star!
That's a neat idea! We will have to try something like this. Snowflakes would be fun too. Or even their name!
Thanks! We have done snowflakes and yes, names would be fun!!!
That is cute! I love your idea of using the tempera paint to make it darker.
Thanks for posting this! I tried to do the exact same thing (stars and all!) for my son a few months ago, but the crayon didn't resist the tempera paint. I didn't think to water it down first! Eureka!
What do you draw the stars on with? A crayon?
White crayon or colored pencil works 🙂
