Valentine’s Day Heart Pops {DIY}
These Valentine’s Day Heart Pops are adorbs and fairly inexpensive to make. They are made from heart-shaped peeps that are pink on the inside. I don’t usually like peeps but these particular ones are strawberry creme flavored and taste good.

First, you’ll need to buy the heart-shaped peeps. There were 9 in a box, not sure what happened to the other 3….tee, hee. Little Sister insisted that she had one right away. I purchased Wilton 4-Inch Lollipop Sticks which are very reasonably priced considering how many come in a pack. Amazon has many different amounts you can purchase ranging from 35 ct to 600 ct. You can also get 6 inch ones.
Plop a heart on the end of the lollipop stick. I pushed ours down pretty much all the way without it poking through the other end. This way they stay put and don’t accidentally fall off if they are not pushed down far enough.
This next part is completely optional. I placed ours inside teeny baggies and tied each shut with a small piece of ribbon. Or I guess that I should say that I wanted to place them in the teeny baggies I had but the lost sock monster must have decided to eat those too because I still have yet to find them ….. Lol!
So I improvised by cutting the top half off of a Ziploc bag – the gallon size. Then I cut the bottom part into thirds and repeated the same thing with another bag. But wait, don’t throw away the top half! I made duct tape bags with them – great for many different uses. I haven’t posted about them yet, but we did post about the Valentine’s themed one we made. → See the Valentine’s themed duct tape bag here. It is also made with a Ziploc. To seal the cut ends, I singed them with a lighter and pressed it together. After all the bags were finished, I stuck the heart lollipop in the open end, then tied it shut with a cute ribbon.
If you wanted to skip the whole bag process but don’t want the peeps to get stale before taking them to a party, etc., assemble the ribbon and sticks the night before. The day of the party, all you have to do is stick the peep on and then place it in a dish/platter.
If you like these, we would love for you to take a peek at the Easter Peeps on a Stick we made last year.
