St. Patrick’s Day Themed Bubble Bath Play Activity with Gold Coins
Doesn’t this St Patrick’s Day bath look fun? I want to be a kid again, Lol! After our Gold Coin Hunt, I thought it would be neat to head indoors and continue the fun with a St. Patrick’s Day themed bubble bath play activity where my kids had to search for the gold coins under the bubbles…. I mean clouds – he, he.
Setting Up the St. Patrick’s Day Themed Bubble Bath
My son wash the gold coins in a sink while I went into their bathroom and started their surprise bubble bath. I got the idea for painting on the bath tiles from Growing a Jeweled Rose. It’s just regular, washable kids paint.
The water was turned green by placing in blue and yellow Sesame Street Fizzy Tub Color Tablets (Amazon Referral Link). The kids love watching them fizz and turn the bath colors! These fizzy tablets are great for teaching younger kids about color mixing.
Next, I added kids bubble bath. The bubbles are supposed to represent clouds and the gold coins are hidden at the end of the rainbow.
They were so happy when they got to see their surprise bath! My toddler girl didn’t even hesitate and jumped right in. My son looked at me and said that he loved his surprise.
They found all the gold coins and put them in their green pail. After we drained the water, I turned the shower on and gave the kids a washcloth (specifically used for craft messes) to wash the paint off. They had just as much fun during the clean up process!
Looks So fun! I'll have to add some bath fizzies in their easter baskets : )
That's a great idea for an Easter Basket Kristina 🙂
