Paper Plate Groundhog Face Craft For February
We made this easy groundhog face craft from a paper plate. Isn’t he cute?! It’s a fun way to have little ones learn about Groundhog Day.
Big Brother, 4 yrs old
How to make the Paper Plate Groundhog Craft:
My son painted the entire plate brown.
When it dried, I cut the bottom section off so it resembled the top of a heart shape. This creates the groundhog’s mouth area. I used the part I cut off to make the ears. Glue the ears to the back side of the paper plate.
Using white paper, I cut a little rectangle for the teeth. Glue to the bottom on the back side as well.
Glue on googly eyes.
Use a black marker to draw on the mouth, nose, eyebrows, and lines in the ears and teeth.
This is a photo of him being silly while painting the paper plate for the groundhog face!
