Halloween Kids Craft – Watercolor Glue Resist Art
Not sure if I would call this a craft fail because I like how the kids Halloween paintings turned out even if it wasn’t what I envisioned in my mind. It’s supposed to be a watercolor-glue resist art project but the white glue didn’t show through like I had hoped and seen on many blogs.
I made outlines of different Halloween themed things white Elmer’s glue and let them dry overnight. The next day my 5 yr old painted the pumpkin/tree scene and the one with the candy corn. My 2 year old painted the monster one on the bottom left. They enjoyed this activity a lot and my son had fun exploring and mixing watercolor paint in the cup of water. He would mix colors, then dump it out and refill it again.
We taped the 2 little ones on a window and the big one on our refrigerator. The glue lines are better seen on the window and look pretty with the sunlight shining through.
