Fun Christmas Tree Craft for Kids
We had a pile of shredded green gift wrap paper, the kind you place inside gifts bags and boxes that also looks a bit like crinkled Easter grass. I thought it would be fun for the kids to make a Christmas tree craft using it. They loved it! Especially the decorating part.
How to make the Shredded Gift Wrap Christmas Tree Craft
Supplies Needed:
- green shredded gift wrapping paper
- glue
- star stickers
- markers
- glitter glue
- embellishments such as buttons, sequins, button, pom poms, etc.
- construction paper
Instructions:
1. We used jumbo construction paper for our craft. Draw a triangle shape on the paper remembering to leave room for the tree trunk.
2. Fill the triangle with glue.
3. Add the shredded paper. Firmly press into place.
4. Add ornaments using any of the embellishments that you have gathered. My son made a snowman ornament using white pom poms while my daughter made her snowman under the tree.
5. Little Sister also squeezed three different colors of glitter glue on her tree to make it sparkly.
6. Add a star sticker to the top.
7. Cut tree trunks from brown paper.
8. Add presents under the tree. We cut Christmas tissue paper into squares.
9. Hang up as a Christmas decoration!
