Rewarding Good Habits with Free Amazon Game Apps
Ever want to try apps with the kids but don’t want to waste your money in case they don’t like it? I have the perfect solution for you, if you happen to use an android such as a Samsung Galaxy or an Amazon Fire Tablet. The best part? It’s free! With Amazon Underground, you can download actually free Amazon apps and there’s a HUGE selection. It’s not limited to just kids apps either. Find great ones for mom and dad, too.
How to get the Free Amazon Game Apps
It’s simple.
Head over to Amazon Underground on your Amazon Fire tablet or Android smartphone. Browse by categories such as such as: Most Played, Top Apps, and Featured. For kids, there are categories such as educational apps, games, books, puzzles, coloring and more. The whole family will love them! We especially have fun playing Heads Up! together.
All the apps and games that are 100% free have an ‘Actually Free’ sash on it. Actually Free Apps simply means that there are no micro-transactions, paid upgrades, or waiting times that can often times be frustrating.
You will have access to unlimited free downloads! You can download them and delete ones that weren’t what you expected or to make room for a fun, new app from Amazon Underground.
I love that the kids can easily ‘be in charge’ of choosing an app of their choice by browsing approved by mom and dad categories.
Printable Weekly Reward Chart
Little Sister started kindergarten this year. Since it’s her 1st year going all day and everyday, I wanted a way to encourage good school routines and habits. Good habits help make everything less stressful so the day goes smoother. Big Brother, who is now in 3rd grade, has fallen into some bad habits in the past, such as losing his homework packet or not cleaning out his lunch bag and backpack.
To encourage Little Sister to start off on the right foot, I made her a screen time weekly reward chart for video games and apps. On the ‘Ways to Earn’ list, there are different activities she can do to make a mark on the Unicorn Reward Chart. We plan to use bingo markers/dot markers when she completes an activity. You could alternatively use stamps, stickers, or color it in.
The ‘Ways to Earn’ list is blank so you can fill in activities of your choice. The rewards chart has 6 extra circles for Bonus Time. For her, each extra circle will be an extra 10 minutes of screen time. The screen time she earns will be added up on Friday. She has to get at least 25 to earn time to play video games or apps over the weekend. She can then choose to split it up however she likes. Rewarding good habits with free amazon game apps is working out great for our family and the best part is that they are getting educational content while it costs us nothing!
Disney Frozen Free Fall Icy Shot
Right now, Little Sister is working towards earning the new app from Disney, Frozen Free Fall Icy Shot.
Also available in the Amazon AppStore, this fun, new puzzle app has surprises around every corner. Besides Anna, Elsa, and Olaf, it even features the adorable Snowgies! Love those little guys.
*Please note that this new app is free, but not part of the Underground Apps. However, the previous Frozen Free Fall app is!
Here’s a few things you can do while playing the Frozen Free Fall Icy Shot game:
- Shoot magical snowballs from Elsa’s cannon.
- Use the help of Snowgies to catch snowballs.
- Find boosters such as flaming snowballs that help break the ice.
- Unleash POWER-UPS like the Super Aim, Booster Blaster or Sun Blast to create ice-conic ‘Free Fall’ moments!
- Create dazzling celebrations and rack up bonus points.

Reward Charts is really work.
I have three children under the age of 5. The eldest child I raised with printable reward charts. But you need a lot of them. The Manini app is very convenient, you can use it for several children at once))))) I like it so much they are small and come ask for more tasks. And I have time to take self-care. But I am absolutely against screen time.
