My son was very excited when he received a package from Kiwi Crate filled with fun crafts for him to make. He was sent a Caring For the Earth themed kit filled with crafts & activities. My son really enjoyed his projects!
Who is Kiwi Crate?
My little guy loved making his own paper! All the supplies to make it were inside the crate, including easy to follow instructions with drawings. He put a heap of the shredded white paper inside the plastic jar and then added pieces of torn colored tissue paper. I added water like the instructions called for, then gave it to him to shake. He excitedly exclaimed, “It’s like magic Mom!” when he saw how the color of the white paper changed and how it all turned to mush.
The next step was pouring it out into a tray they provided. Of course he had to be all boy and laughed saying that it looked like puke! The things that amuse him….. *Lol*
Check out our Instagram photo of how the papers looked before drying.
My little guy thought it was awesome how his finished papers looked. We haven’t decided what to make with them yet. Father’s Day notes perhaps?
He also created a bag using modeling clay, an ink pad, a flower and leaf. When he finished, he told me that he made the bag for me, such a sweetheart!
The little instruction book encourages you to come up with a creative use for the modeling clay stamp and repurpose it into something else fun. They show how neat it looks when you peel the leaf and flower off leaving behind a white silhouette. Before we peeled ours off, we pressed the stamp into the green ink until it was completely covered. I poked holes in the clay so that we could add strings to them after they dried.
There are all kinds of things to color and a little book with my craft and activity suggestions all within the same Caring for the Earth theme.
I would definitely recommend this product!!!
