Chinese New Year Crafts for Kids and Party Ideas
One of my good friends, whose son is my son’s bestie, is Chinese and hosts a playdate almost every year for the Chinese New Year. I have had a blast brainstorming ideas with her and our other friends on what crafts we can do with the kids and all other kinds of playdate and party fun.
Here is our collection of Chinese New Year crafts we have done with them or by ourselves since my son was 2 years old. I will keep adding our crafts and activities every year so be sure to check back every year!
My friend’s son usually wears one of his Chinese outfits and one year all the playdate kids were wearing them. We also have done red envelopes quite a few years and Chinese food of course. I love that I get to have her write things in Chinese on the kids crafts. The kids have made everything from drums and dragons to lanterns + more!

Lucas & Grace say – This is fab. We are really interested in the Chinese New Year. We run a weekly linky over at KidGLloves called Mini Creations and this would be a fab addition. We open every Wednesday morning. We’d love for you to link up 🙂 #minicreations
